Each year, 10,000 couriers transport cocaine from French Guiana to mainland France. 60% of them are under 30 years old. Many end up in prison.

Director Camille Toulmé went to meet this youth in French Guiana living under the grip of drug trafficking, largely due to a lack of future prospects. In French Guiana, 29% of those under 29 are unemployed.

Victor, preparing to “mule” by swallowing cocaine pellets; Chayna, serving an 18-month prison sentence in Fresnes for transport; Akeem, a former inmate now working in youth prevention; Ronald, an ex-courier trying to stay on the right path; Laura, a lawyer seeking to bring some humanity into prisons... All testify and portray a part of French Guiana dominated by trafficking and neglected by the state, with, at times, a glimmer of hope.
