Asiabel is a musical project created by a collective formed in Rome in April 2020, composed of Isabella De Cesaris (writer), Bianca Antonelli (vocals), with music by Giovanni Cosma and recording and mixing by Daniele Ferreri.
Rooted in pop but influenced by indie, funk, and hip hop, the project plays with words and music in a deliberately dissonant way.
I had the pleasure of working on the band’s visual identity from the very beginning, finding a visual voice that would resonate with their style. Since the singer’s voice—and the songwriting itself—has such a strong and peculiar character, I focused on keeping the front woman visually present throughout, playing with colours and shapes in a way that’s both playful and striking, just like the tone of the songs.
